NO GAINS | GERARDO GABRIEL
Does life even matter before the gains? Well…Kinda I guess. Today I want to take you in depth of how I got here to be “Gerardo Gabriel” & why I began my workout journey.
Many factors attributed to me turning to the gym to workout through out my life. I can’t say it was just suddenly overnight, but there was one major event that led me to really start pushing my limits.
BREAK-UPS MAKE BODYBUILDERS
If you haven’t heard this before… Well now you have! Relationship breakups are one the biggest reasons many lifters begin their journey. Driven by the pain and sadness of a relationship ending many of us look to the gym for refuge & support.
For me a breakup was what took me to the next level. I was always active in sports. I played basketball, baseball, boxing, track & field and several other sports.
Once I decided to join the United States Marine Corps in May of 2008, a few weeks before leaving to basic training I started lifting weights. I wanted to be in shape for when I arrived at boot camp. However weight training was not the answer for boot-camp. You will loose all your gains! They are very endurance and cardio focused.
However that set in motion the weightlifting journey for me. I noticed how my body slowly starting changing right before leaving to boot camp.
MY LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE
In 2009 was when everything changed for me. I went through a very bad break-up that had me going crazy. I was stationed in a military base with nothing do except drink, sleep or get tattoos.
I went to the gym a few times to try and see if it could help. It was helping, but I just didn’t really care. One day after one of my workouts another Marine offered me if I wanted to take his syntha-6 protein for free because he did not want it. Like any normal person – I said “Sure”.
Well long and behold after finishing the 24 servings ( taking 1 serving a day) I had gained about 8lbs in a month. Once I saw those results I was hooked! The Gerardo Gabriel transformation had begun.
TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Once I saw those results – I went to GNC to see what supplements I could use to take my results even further.
Then I ran across the original “Jack3d” & OMG It was life changing! This to me was the crucial staple in me killing and loving my workouts. I learned that without Pre-Workout I just don’t get that hype feeling to kill the gym. Ever since then I have been using pre-workout to fuel my workouts & I dont think I can go without it.
Honestly the best advice I can give you when it comes to pre-workout is to find the one that works for you. There are many great ones out there, but each may make you feel different.

What is the outcome of all the accumulated events? It is the version of Gerardo Gabriel that you know. My pain, my struggles, my passion has all worked in sync to create who I am.
I never forced working out. It was something I always enjoyed to do. I think what makes it interesting and helps you keep going long term is when you see results. Then you start questioning ” How Far Can I take It?”
So not only do you have a reason to start working out, but a reason to keep you motivated to stay and continue working out.
